| Oni’s Godly WWsin Build
INTRO: My sin is Oni. I and currently level 96. I am one of USEAST Nonladder’s Top assassins.
To get an idea of Stats (I will post my Life/res/etc) 4.5k life Regular, 4.9k Life Sin vs Sin 75/75/75/30 res in hell without fade 65fcr BP 27fhr BP 4.4 damage ww 50% dr Up to 21k Attack rating with angelics and Demon Limb
** Important Lingos;
. * FHR = Faster Hit Recovery . * FCR = Faster Cast Rate . * MB = Mind Blast . * WW = Whirlwind . * DoT = Damage over Time . * ES = Energy Shield . * OW = Open Wounds . * DR = Damage Reduce

Introduction:
Wwsins aren’t based on all damage. They're main damagers come from OW (Open Wounds) and Venom. These characters are really DoT characters. They do not do a totally a lot of damage at one time, like a whirlwind barb with deadly strike and such. However, these characters can be very powerful against most chars. For example; Against ES Sorcs, Their builds are relying on Life AND Mana, usually go more mana than life, this is where the DoT cuts in, the venom and OW (Also known as Open Wounds) can be very useful, sucking their life down for a good 8 seconds. At level 90, it is believed to do about 50 life per second for 8 seconds. This is a good 400 life... With venom, that is pretty good if you ask me for open wounds. But against most other chars, such as wind druids, necros, you use your level1 traps to stun them, whirlwind them, let OW kick in and do the damage. Your claw block will save you in a lot of these battles, because with all the +shadow skills you already have, it gives a chance to block anything, such as smite, blizzard, hammers, and other castable skills.

through-out this guide. I will go over such things as;
What if I can’t afford a 1.08 valk? - How do I keep 65% fcr? - How do I keep max-trap laying speed?
How can I boost my AR? (Incase I feel the need for it) - Angelic ring+ammy (Harder to keep 65% without valk, but then again... not that necessary vs. melee palas.) - Demon Limb - Fools claw
Fools-claw - What is best? (fools claw of the bear, 2 sockets) - Knockback Works, can be obtained as an automod (bear) or by Nef rune. - The more % OW the better. (if knockback is not automod, consider socketing Nef of the cost of 1 or 2 UMs (depends on amount of soc ofc) - Some people like knockback some people don’t. In my experience Knockback works nice vs. Tele-smiters and walking smiters.
Fade - What are the uses of Fade? (curse reduction, DR, and resists) - How exactly does the hidden bonus works? - How do I distribute fade skill points in relation to my gear to obtain 50% DR?
Mind-blast - Uses of maxing the skill (swirly duration in relation to stun-lock)
How do I stun-lock? Vs who do it work? Vs who doesn’t? What level of claw block is desirable?
Gear:
Helm:
[ Possible helms; Circlet, 08 Valk]
Circlet Try to aim for a +3 Shadow/20 fcr/2open sockets. These helms are the second best to my opinion right behind a 08 valk. Try shael/jah or Jah/jah if you got the FHR already.
08 Valk Gives FRW,FHR,IAS,FCR.. All in 1 helm.. FRW = Walk out, FHR=No stun locks, IAS=Faster Trap stun, and FCR=Faster MB Stun/Tele This helm is my prior choice but if you can't afford one try to get a circ.
Armor:
Enigma,
This is the main part of a nigma sins build. Gives you the str you need for your items to wear. Try to aim for MP or Dusk if you can get the str.
Belt:
Arachnids.. This is your only choice. The 20% FCR and skill is a MUST
Rings:
Ravens, You can wear 2x 200+/20dex ravens, and get the dex required for your sin. ONLY USE 2x RAVENS if you can afford a 08 valk.
**IF YOU USE A CIRC or anything other than 08 valk** Get a nice fcr ring, with +100~ish AR or Dex.
Gloves:
Trang-oul gloves, Gives FCR, cold resists, and Psn dmg (+25%) These gloves are also a MUST.
Boots: [Possible boots; S Spurs, GSpurs, Bitters, VTramps, Soul shanks, Rune slippers]
*Soul spurs- helps you get stats and resists *Grim spurs- the 20% FHR Could help you but not make a big difference. *Bitter Brouges- Same as soul spurs *Viper Tramps- Same as GSpurs, except +Dex instead of +Str *Soul shanks- Stats, and STACKED resists, all 45+ except psn. *Rune slippers- Better stats then shanks but lower resists. 40+ i think.
Ammulet:
Stormhide. This is your only possible ammulet with this build.
Claws:
[There are many types of claws to use. So this below should help you out]
*Ruinic- Fastest speed claw in the game, (115 str/115 dex req) *Feral- 10% Less IAS then Ruinic, Second fastest, (113 str/113 dex req) *Suwayyah- low stat req, slow trap speed (99str/99dex req) *Scissor Suwayyah- high requirements, a big faster then suwayyah, but not a good claw overall (118 str/118 dex req) *Glitch Tucs- gives +Stats (not really needed), +2 Skills, FHR, bonus AR (same as fury)
Stashed-Gear; - AR-gear (fools claw etc.) - 100% LR Kiras (Ort) - Hotspurs - Thundergods - Wisp and Dwarf - 20/5's or 20/11's (Your choice) - Bramble/Pre buff venom gear.

What SeeD recommends
*Helm- 08 valk *Armor- Enigma *Ammy- Storm hide *Boots- Soul Shanks *Rings- 2x Ravens *Gloves- Trangs *Belt- Arachs *Claws- Ruinic chaos/Feral Fury setup
**(I personally used glitched claws, but if you can afford them, you should already know enough about wwsins then be looking here for help)
I use the Chaos/Fury setup because at lvl92 (my ww sin, TehSeeD's level) gives higher open wounds dmg, the better chance of wounds=more dmg, If you can't get enough time for lvl90, use a good pair of um'd tucs.
Try to get your claws with +3 venom pre-mods. These dont come with the runeword so you need to find them on the actual claw before pre-made. Precasting/Prebuffing is a waste of time to my opinion. But does help with BM'ing on a wwsin, with 50% bramble and etc.

Charms:
Shadow Gcs (9x 30+) Torch (20/x) Anni (20/x) 10x SC's (3/20/20s or 20/5's or life/res charms) I use both, Switching back and forth depending on who I duel, 5/5 usually (5x 3/20/20s, 5x 20/5's)
Try to aim 30+ Life in GCs These are helpful because more life=higher bo, and since the Ghost build uses base stats, and 500+ vita, then these will be very useful.
Try to get 20 stat anni and torch, If you do -- read the bottom of the guide.
Stat Distribution:
Base str (Storm hide+Anni will be able to give you enough str for an nigma) *Trust me. Base Dex (Ravens, Boots, Ammy, anni will give you your dex for the gear) *Trust me. 450+ Vita (the point of the ghost is mass life, So try to at least get 3.5k+ Life, with gcs i got 4.4k) Base Energy
**Note** You MIGHT need to add a little bit of dex depending on your setup. So you can take a raven off for a wisp or dwarf. This will be helpful.
Skill Distribution:
Must Max Skills;
Claw Mastery, Venom, Mind blast
*Note- Fade gives 1% DR per skill (hidden bonus), This is how you get your DR - With the enigma build, and the build I recommend, Casting fade with spirit gives you lvl42, which means 42% DR with 8% with enigma, thats max DR.
Put 1pt into: Wake of Fire, Shadow Master, Dragon flight, Blade sheild, Lightning sentry (level 1 traps only)
*If you got 1pt into dragon flight already from 1 of your claws. Get dragon claw then. No need for dragon flight.
ALL EXTRA POINTS WILL GO INTO: Claw block (If you want the 2-3 % Higher block, if youre a risk taker)
______________________________________________
FCR/FHR TABLES
45% FCR is the lowest amount of FCR you can get on your wwsin, any lower and you wont be as effective. 62% FCR is the recommend one. Get that if you can! Try whatever you can, fcr ring etc.
An assassins 30% FHR is the same as a druids 152% FHR and a necros 155% FHR. And you get the ability to ww out of locks.
Try to get 50% FHR on your wwsin. Thats what you'll probley need the most.
Claw block - This is a 2 frame block.. Same thing as having like 300% Block rate on your char. *FHR Doesnt affect this if you get hit and blocked it.

FAQ
What if I cant afford a 1.08 valk? - To keep your 65% FCR, you'll need to use a circlet and a FCR ring with dual stats, or resists, your preferance. - To keep fast trap speed, keep on your ruinic/ruinic claws. You'll get enough speed to keep you satisfied.
How can I boost my AR? (Incase I feel the need for it) - Angelic ring+ammy (Harder to keep 65% without valk, but then again.. not that necessary vs melee palas.) - Demon Limb - Fools claw
Fools-claw - What is best? (fools claw of the bear, 2 sockets) - Knockback Works, can be obtained as an automod (bear) or by Nef rune. - The more % OW the better. (if knockback is not automod, consider socketing Nef of the cost of 1 or 2 UMs (depends on amount of soc ofc) - Some people like knockback some people dont. In my experience Knockback works nice vs Tele-smiters and walking smiters.
Fade - The uses of fade are a requirement. Anti-curse, with max resists, and max DR. Gives you most advantages other chars can't get. - The hidden bonus works on per level. If you have a level 5 fade, you get 5% DR, If you have a level 45 fade, you have 45% DR, Remember, MAX Dr is 50%. - How do I distribute fade skill points in relation to my gear to obtain 50% DR? With my setup above, you get lvl42 fade with spirit/cta. Which is maxed fade. So you might need to max or not, depending on your build, circlet etc.
Mind-blast - Uses of maxing the skill (swirly duration in relation to stun-lock) - When the swirlies are over their head, each trap works 10x more effective, giving you a godly stun speed. Only way to put them into FHR without swirlies is to get more then 1/8th of their life within an attack. Meaning if they have 4k life, you'll need to do more then 500 dmg in a attack. Which traps dont do. So make sure you mb them once before anything.
How do I stun-lock? Vs who does it work? Vs who doesnt? What level of claw block is desirable?
- Keeping stunlock is easy. Recast your traps every 2-3 seconds after a whirlwind or two, depends on how big it was. - The most effective trap lock to me is 3 light sentrys, 2 wofs.
What claw block % is desireable?
- This depends on your build, and what you want. - lvl26 = 60%, lvl31 = 61%, lvl36=62%, lvl42 = 63% - I prefer 60% but if you want to put those xtra skills to get 3%. That 3% could save your life, then again, it could make you more vulnerable against others. Get my drift?

Switching to Bramble/Fort
If you follow strictly to this guide. Yes, you can switch your armor to a bramble, archon is the highest you can switch to, try dusk but if you cannot, use archon. The problem is your claws, 115/113 Str requires. Depending on the claw type you use. If you want to switch to a bramble, make sure you have glitch tucs or 2x low req Pre-venom modded claws. Like suwayyahs, Since IAS isnt needed.

| How to duel ....
Amazon: **Bow: These zons are very easy. Simply teleport on them, 1 ww gives them 1 life easily. your shadow simply finishes them off. **Read MB Trick at bottom
**Cs Zon: Teleport on top of them ASAP (As soon as possible), Do small whirlwinds. If they happen to be a farcast CS Zon, Slap on a tgods, FCR isnt needed but can help, just do small ww's, and keep it fast.
Barbarian: **Ww barb: this'll be tough, if they use a sheild, they got the uphil battle. Merely impossible to beat if they're good and built right. Try cloaking them and ww at the end of their ww's, they'll end up getting mixed up, then repeat. Put a widdow maker in stash vs there, and make sure it is HEL'd. Then shoot them, force them to tele on you. Shoot and run. If they call you a runner tell them to catch up. Rely on your traps to stun, don't forget to mb them once. So swirlie stun is in effect.
**Conc barb: Almost impossible, they're meant for buffed defense. You'll need to triangle ww them, or let them chase you, use cloak on them before duel. Put a widdow maker in stash vs there, and make sure it is HEL'd. Then shoot them, force them to tele on you. Shoot and run. If they call you a runner tell them to catch up. Rely on your traps to stun, don't forget to mb them once. So swirlie stun is in effect.
**Zerk: Easier then the above, zerk gives them no defense, giving you a 100% chance to hit depending on their block rate. Wait till they get on top of you to ww. Cloak is needed to boost your def. But just keep whirling, if they are strickly pure zerk, just keep ww.
Necromancer: **PNB: This is where your specialty comes in. your claw block makes them so useless. This is where you needed 1pt into Dragon Claw. If you use a barb and you beserk casters..This skill is very similiar and just as effective. Namelock them with dragon claw and don't ww them. Just dragon claw them. If they tele away. Repeat.. Tele on them and dragon claw, You must practice this to be effective with it.
**Psn Nova: Mb them, as soon as you see them, they never get enough FHR, barely even the good ones do so they'll get stunned, try to MB/Wof them, then they're fucked, if they lower resist you, This is were your Maxed fade is helpful, reduce curses by BADASS amounts so psn nova is weak. Also again, do small ww's, or dragon claw them.
Sorceress: **Blizzard: Your claw block gives u a good chance to block their blizzard hitting once, once your on their ass they're fucked. If they blizzard themselves, stay still for a sec. Mb them outta their own blizz (Mb knocks back) then ww their asses.
**Fireball: Wear a pair of um'd tucs and a pair of Hotspurs for these. sometimes their a bitch to get to and their dmg is powerfully stunable if you dont wear hotspurs. Again, do small ww's. Do not dclaw these. The reason you need tucs here is for your soul shanks, you'll be missing the str needed and you could pop. Trust me, I learned the hard way. A long time ago.
**Lightning: No need to change gear, you got stacked lite with the gear above, 1x wisp and a pair of tucs for the missing dex is nice. again, Do small ww's. Do not dclaw these.
Paladins: **Hammerdin: These are a Bitch to get to. They get good resists because of hoz and high def. The tricky part is, Wof/Mb fucks their ass. Let them play defensive and wof/mb them, once they're stuned. refresh ur traps and mb them again, they're your bitch. Keep MB'ing them till they tele on top of you. Ww away, and repeat. You could literally MB kill these if they're defensive. These require skill dueling against.
**Smiters: You have the ability to Block their attack and merely get stunned from it. don't try to lay Wof's because they'll be on your ass before you say what the hell. Mb them, cloak them and hope for the best. Whirlwind AWAY from them. Force them to come to you, by mb'ing them. Then WW away.
**Zealot: They never need psn resists. Its your battle. 1-5 ww's tops and they're your bitch. If they're smart, they hold shift and zeal you. BUT. Wof them while they do that. They will be hard to hit but put on a fools claw for this.
**Foh: In order to fully negate a FoH pally, on a sin, you need 395% LR. -100 Hell penalty, -150 conviction.-25 scepter, -25 griffons, -10 facets, 85 max res (thundergods) = +395. Read stashed gear above to help vs these.
Druids: **Elemental: Their your bitch, they can barely get enough FHR for your Wof traps. If they get out of it. Make sure you slay its oak. once then, if open wounded, they're your bitch, they either shrine/heal/akara. If they dont, They're dead.
**Melee: read ZEALOT.
Assassins:
**Trapper: Your claw block gives you an advantage. Use 1x wisp and you'll be fine, just mb them, they stay still, ww them, they hardly get maxed resists. if they do, they're still ez. Just whirlwidn them and dont give them time to lay traps. Just keep whirlwinding and stay on their ass.
**Ghost: Depends on whos the better dueler. You should know how to duel with your ww sin by the time you face another good ghost.
Bramble: Wow.. If you can beat 1 of these, they fucked up their sin. Basicly, if the bramble sin is built right, your their bitch no matter what, stacked psn, thorns (gets rid of the 1life, and hurts alot if you hit shadow), and way more dmg. The dmg overcounters the life of a ghost in a SvS (sin vs sin). Just MB them, and whirlwind away. I suggest you not duel these in hell. | |
